FACEIT ventures to Southeast Asia

Along with an update to FACEIT's match-making system, the British-based organization launched servers in Southeast Asia, which have since been gaining popularity.

Earlier today FACEIT released an update to their website, which also included a launch of match-making servers in the Southeast Asia region, to the delight of its community, who have been calling for such a move.

Shortly after venturing into the new region, the popularity was so high that FACEIT added 16 more servers and currently are working on expanding further.

The region will also get a $1,500 tournament on the side, for which FACEIT will be hosting three qualifiers throughout the upcoming week:

Date Teams  Spots
Sunday, May 31st 128 2
Tuesday, June 2nd 64 1
Wednesday, June 3rd  64 1

After receiving feedback from the community, FACEIT also fixed a couple of bugs and added a couple of features into the website system. The entire patch log is following:

Ladder selection is no longer required after the first time (finally!)
Matching sound and volume can now be customized no matter your membership level
Team leader selection is now based on premium and skill level (highest skill level out of premium members in a team will be selected as leader)
Added language selection for beta users with Spanish and Portuguese as initial languages (dot dot dot…)
Miscellaneous

Fixed CSS bugs for new Chrome version
Fixed a number of bugs related to premium subscriptions through alternative payment methods
Added a number of efficiency improvements to decrease infrastructure load
