FlipSid3, LGB qualify for DH Summer

FlipSid3 Tactics and LGB eSports have secured places at DreamHack Summer after reaching the grand final of the closed qualifier.

Four seeded teams were joined by the top four sides from the online preliminary qualifiers in this single-elimination bracket, with two spots in DH Summer's $40,000 tournament on offer.

The first round of the qualifier went according to script as the four invited teams were able to advance to the next stage, even though only dignitas managed to do so without dropping a map.

However, the Danish side were completely outplayed in the semi-final stage as they suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of FlipSid3 Tactics, who were in stunning form throughout the series.

In the other semi-final match, LGB and HellRaisers played out a thrilling five-map contest. The Norwegian side, who fielded Martin "cENTRYZ" Brandal and Morten "zEVES" Vollan as stand-ins, were twice on the back foot during the series but they refused to throw in the towel and turned the game around thanks to their fighting spirit.

The final two spots in DH Summer's CS:GO tournament will be filled through the BYOC qualifier, to be held on the first day of the event, which will take place from June 13-15 in Jönköping.

The list of participants for DH Summer currently looks as follows:

 NiP  Natus Vincere
 fnatic  Titan
 FlipSid3 Tactics  LGB eSports
