Games Academy has announced that it will host a CS:GO tournament that will give away over 25,000 BRL (approximately $8,200) in cash and hardware prizes.
Just 48 hours after r1seCup came to an end, Games Academy, a project led by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo that is aimed at promoting the growth of the Brazilian e-sports scene, has put together the biggest prize purse for CS:GO tournaments to date in the country.
The GA LAN Cup will feature 16 teams, four who are determined by their placing in the top division of the GA Razer league and 12 that will come from a series of online qualifiers that will be held from May to July.

On August 29-30, the participants will lock horns in São Paulo for their share of the prize purse, which amounts to over 15,000 BRL ($5,000) in cash prizes plus 10,000 BRL ($3,200) in hardware.
