PiTER win MCS Season 2 Finals

After a series of regional LAN qualifiers and the league itself, MCS Open Season 2 came to the $7,600 LAN Finals stage taking place in Moscow, Russia in Moscow Cyberstadium from April 3-5.

A total of 16 teams battled in a double elimination bracket, with PiTER, ACES and GGWP being one of the biggest names in the tournament.

GGWP fell short to PiTER and WEPLAY- in the initial rounds of both brackets, but Jan "wayLander" Rahkonen's team managed to come all the way to the top of the tournament to fight it out in the best-of-five grand final.

Since ACES came from the upper bracket after defeating PiTER 2-1 in the upper semi-finals, they had a one-map lead, although PiTER made it a clean 3-0 even after a close initial map, de_inferno, which went to 30 rounds.
