SKYTTEN leaves Kinguin

Team Kinguin have announced that they have parted ways with Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson with immediate effect.

Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson had sat out Kinguin's latest offline event, the Gaming Paradise inhouse qualifier, after falling ill in the run-up to the tournament, which forced the player to return to his homeland of Sweden to receive medical treatment.

In Slovenia, Kinguin fielded mousesports backup player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač as a stand-in, and the move certainly paid off as the Bosnian talent helped the team to win the tournament on an impressive 1.28 rating - the highest of the event.

Last weekend, Carlsson was seen taking part in the first online pre-qualifier for ESL One Cologne with a mix team called 420Hardflip, fueling talk that he could be on his way out of Kinguin.

SKYTTEN has been given his marching orders

It has now been confirmed that Kinguin have parted ways with Carlsson after growing unhappy with the direction the team had been taking with the Swedish player as ingame leader.

"Right now we have a four-man roster with a substitute," team coach Danniel "dalito" Morales said in a statement.

"We keep our positive mind, high spirits and our plans for the future, which have not change one bit. We will keep you informed as the situation changes.

"Kinguin will attend the ESL One Cologne Qualifier today with Dennis "dennis" Edman as a stand-in. Thank you for all the support, it means a lot. See you on the field!"

Over the next two days, Kinguin will be competing in the second online pre-qualifier for ESL One Cologne with Dennis "dennis" Edman, formerly of LGB eSports and Orbit, as a stand-in.

The team initially wanted to continue playing with Kovač, but talks with mouz broke down over the German organisation's demands, HLTV.org has learned.

Team Kinguin will compete in the online pre-qualifier for ESL One Cologne with:

 Mikail "Maikelele" Bill
 Håvard "rain" Nygaard
 Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom
 Ricardo "fox" Pacheco
 Dennis "dennis" Edman (stand-in)
